Thanks to SF Mike C. for introducing Yuanbao Jiaozi. They are located in Sunset on Irving. Parking can be challenging depending on when you visit. If there are no available open seats when you come, put your name on the wait list. They are know for their dumplings and beef noodle soup. The dumplings are made to order and you can see them wrapping the dumplings behind the glass window. The broth for the beef noodle soup was light beefy. The beef was tender. Both the dumplings and the beef noodles are what I normally order.

Come here if you love carbs, they hand make noodles and dumplings and the prices are very affordable! My entire family (of foodies) always requests to come here as one of our stops when we're visiting relatives in the city. I wish they had a place like this near me in the westside of LA.

Great casual and affordable spot for dumplings and beef noodle soup! This spot is perfect if you've been craving steamed dumplings or dumplings in soup. They have 12 kinds of dumplings, each with different fillings and combinations of meat and veggies. They don't do fried dumplings which is fine for me since steamed dumplings are my favorite. The pork, shrimp, egg and chive ones are my favorite. The beef noodle soup was also really good. The noodles are fresh and have the perfect texture. The soup is flavorful and it also comes with a good amount of meat and tendons. Another great noodle soup for the foggy SF weather. They also sell frozen dumplings that you can buy to take home!

Some of the best dumplings in the city, especially the fish and mushroom one - that one is divine! Been here many times in recent years and have also gotten delivery. Most recently we noticed some of the quality of the side dishes had gotten down, for today we ordered the cold sliced beef and tofu skin, which we had really liked previously. Tofu skin was chewy and tough today, thicker than usual. And the sliced beef was a very small portion and also very dry, look at the pic! Next time we'll be sticking with dumplings.

Small little spot of freshly handmade dumplings, filled with non-typical combos. Flavours seem to be more delicate, which makes it a nice lighter option Came by Saturday, 7 pm, paper wait list, waited maybe 10 mins. Service was prompt and friendly, and food came out quick - Beef noodle soup: broth is on the lighter/more delicate side, but still has good beefy flavour. Spices are light and doesn't overwhelm. Wheat noodles are perfectly cooked and have an addicting bounce to them. Beef was tender and I loved the mix of meat and tendon bits. I appreciated that there wasn't a fatty layer on top. 5/5 - Sole and shiitake dumplings: the dumpling skin is clearly freshly handmade, as they are nice and tender. The fish was also soft and mildly flavoured. Good bits of shiitake. For me, not my favourite, as the softness of the dumpling skin and filing together felt a little monotonous after a while. I prefer the texture of a meat filling. 4.5/5 - Wood ear salad: incredibly punchy from the crunchy of the wood, to the slivers of onion, to the vinegar dressing. The raw garlic is strong, and I actually preferred this the next day when it had some time to mellow out. 4/5

This is a good place to grab lunch. Three of us shared the Beef Noodle Soup, which allowed us to have a rice bowl size. The soup was very flavorful and the noodles cooked just right. There was a fair amount of beef but not on the generous side; however the amount of dumplings in an order is generous. There are 14 in an order. The Napa Cabbage & Pork dumplings were good with the pork flavor coming through nicely. The Shrimp, Egg & Chive dumplings were bland. The Marinated Beef appetizer was tasty with the garlic sauce and the Pig Ears in Chili Oil was not too spicy. We ordered to go and only waited about 15 minutes. We went on a Monday around 12:30 pm and there were available tables in this small restaurant. They have a freezer case and you can purchase frozen dumplings.

Honestly got so excited to eat the dumplings that I forgot to take a picture of them. Whoops. Love this place. I think this may be my favorite spot for dumplings in all of SF (and for better or for worse, I think the rest of the city is catching on). It's just clean, simple, GOOD traditional authentic delicious dumplings. Plus they've got the window into seeing the chefs hard at work crafting them into beautiful lil pouches of dumpling fun. Staff are friendly and attentive. The appetizer dishes are also yum and generous. Can't say anything bad about this spot.

This place made us wait for almost an hour for a table! At 11:15 am, it was crazy Good: - Really awesome dumplings with solid wrappers and the right level of salty and savory - I liked the dumping soup version because the soup was filling too Bad: - Took forever to get our dishes and we also already waited an hour to get in - Super small place - Nothing fancy, casual diner vibes Overall enjoyed my experience here but wouldn't wait again.

Came out to the Sunset with intent of eating at Toast n Egg... but the line was crazy so I ended up coming here! And it worked out. Boyf and I each ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and shared a cucumber plate. I think the cucumber plate is something we could have skipped out on, or gotten dumplings instead since it wasn't anything special. The beef noodle soup was warm and filling! It's full of flavor, generous amounts of tender meat, and noodles for days. Inside doesn't have much seating and is quite snug so we ended up waiting ~20 min to be seated on a Saturday lunch time. Sometimes things don't work out so other things will!
